Andy has been with RAP Consulting Ltd since May 2003. He brings broad experience ranging from project leadership, marketing, sales, internal and external communications and customer and product research through to detailed project planning and implementation, specifically within the IT/IS environment.

His consulting work focuses on supporting organisations through significant organisational change, be it driven by technology or other business drivers. His work focuses on assisting with the development of the organisations strategy, understanding the impacts of that strategy on people within, and external to the organisation, and helping to plan and coordinate the communications and feedback systems that need to be in place to ensure the objectives of the strategy are achieved in a sustainable way.  This typically involves working closely with the internal project or programme tasked with driving the changes. 

Prior to his consulting work, Andy has worked in senior line management roles in New Zealand and the U.K in telecommunications, retail, manufacturing and the dairy industry.  He has also been involved as CEO of a NZ based technology start up company and led the development and presentation of business plans that raised three Million in Venture funding to open a sales office based in Washington D.C. in the United States.

Andy came to New Zealand from the U.K. in late 1992 to study for a Masters Degree in Business Administration at Otago he completed this in 1994. It was his intention to stay for 18 months and then return but in 1993 he and his wife Claire decided New Zealand was a better place to have and bring up children and decided to stay. He is now a New Zealand Citizen with two Kiwi kids born in 1995 and 1996 in Wellington.
